Habits and Inner Harmony
I want people to understand that when they come to me for weight management; smoking and help with any other habits, that the process is not just about changing the behavior. There is more to it. The hope is that once a person has changed these habits in their life, they are able to have a stronger understanding of health and well-being. I want my clients to gain inner harmony and peace within. A person can stop smoking usually within one hypnosis session. However, what they must understand is that there is more to the process. Why did they start smoking in the first place? What is the underlying reason for them being over weight? How does this habit make them feel secure and what will life be like without it? My goal with my clients is to help them reach a place in their life where they truly understand that their body and mind is their temple. I help people learn how to honor what God gave them. My clients learn to think differently. They learn how to behave in a new way. That cannot be taught this in one session. Many people have had these habits for a lifetime, but do not have to continue life in this manner. I am here to help them create a new way of thinking and a new way of living.

Give and You Will Receive
I recently had a chance to help to raise money for a canned food drive for a local organization. I stood in front of a super market and asked for donations of money or canned foods. A lady walked by and said that she could not help us and that she herself was a family in need.
I believe that no matter how little you give back you should still give. God is watching. Even if it is one can of food. You are saying "This is all I have. I want to help."
I met a man recently who was down on his luck and only had a few dollars left to his name. He is a realtor and had not sold a house. A friend suggested that he go to church and give all that he has and pray on it. Within the week he sold two houses and received several clients.
When we let go and let God, things happen.
It is easier to hoard when you feel like you do not have much. Give and you will receive.
Giving is from the heart. Make it a practice to give something to someone everyday, no matter how small. Practice this everyday and you will see that you are getting something in return.

Let it Go
Quite often at work or at home we experience stress or upset and may
not know how to handle it at that moment. Someone or something angers
us on the spot and we make rash decisions.
After working with clients in stress management and weight management
for over seven years, I have learned a great method that teaches people how to handle stress.
Step 1) Think of what is upsetting you.
Step 2) Clench your fists as you think the number 3 and keep breathing
(do not hold your breath) as you focus on the upset
Step 3) Think the number 2 as you take a deeeeep breath in and hold the breath.
Step 4) Exhale slowly as you think the number 1. Release the tension
in your fists
Step 5) Do this method three times in a row.
I will guarantee you that after the 2nd time you are feeling more
relaxed and after the 3rd time you are even more relaxed. This method
will help you to take a break from any unhealthy choices that you are
about to make. This is an easy method that you can do in a business
meeting, small group or large group and no one needs to know you are
doing it. I have had clients who clench their toes while keeping a
smile on their face.

Strarting your day
Sometimes our day can start off poorly, like getting a flat tire or forgetting our briefcase. As long as you focus on how poor your day is going, you are going to keep having a bad day. Even if things don't start out right, think about all of the great things that have happened.
I have found that the best way to start my day is by praying, meditating and exercerising. By starting my day in this manner I become more focused and I get a lot more done. I strart with special prayers that I have created for myself and then I ask God for guidance as I go through my day. When I exercise, like going for a walk or practicing yoga, it helps me to release any worries or stress so that I can get on with my day in a fresh, focused manner. I encourage everyone to do something in the morning that will get their day started. Write in your journal; go for a walk; stretch; listen to an encouraging motivational CD. Start your day the right way and your day will go the way you want it to.

This Economy is Great
I heard a story recently about three Realtors who were each asked how the real estate business was going. The first man said that he needed to get a new job because business was terrible. The second man said the same thing. When the third man was asked how the real estate business was going, he said "Business is great."
The more people focus on what they don't want the more they get what they ask for.
Many people I know are doing very well in this economy.
The key to making a success of your business in any economy is having a positive attitude. Knowing that you are on the right path and helping others is an important step in accomplishing your goals. Don't give up. Keep moving forward. Educate yourself; learn from others; enjoy what you do have and acknowledge what is working for you. We have gotten through harder times in life and we can get through this. Find the positive in all that you do and use that to your advantage.
